Wildflower Collaborative offers the best of both worlds by prioritizing time for family and providing structured academics supported by an experienced and passionate educator. Our collaborative approach endeavors to help families find balance — quality time for families and friends balanced with quality, structured time for children to assemble with peers, develop additional skills, and learn how to work together to grow a brighter, kinder world.

  • community of learners, thinkers, doers, creators, allies, friends, and family

If there was ever a time to be part of a revolution, to encourage and support families feeling the weight of uncertainties and deep darkness. A time to shed the outdated, reprioritize and truly unravel what the future holds, and what freedoms and powers we have in it. To cast the net of an alternative learning concept that could revitalize the heart and unity in community while being a sound foundation for our youth to thrive — NOW. IS. THE. TIME.

OUr PArtnership

A COLLABORATION between FAMILIES, EDUCATORS & the COMMUNITY

We propose a unique structure for the education of your children. A guided partnership between educators, the community, and families. Our collaboration will consist of a combination of:

Group Time

Teacher-led learning experiences that include focused, developmentally appropriate academic work, student-led meetings, visioning, play, and work-time.

Family Fridays

What are you passionate about? How can you enrich the learning experience of our community? Passion speaks volumes to engaging children in the learning experience. Modeling your own passions gives them permission to chase theirs!

Course of Study

Our course of study is responsive to the developmental strengths, needs, and interests of our learning community.

Each year, we will take on a new year-long community project — something that brings people together, deepens our connection with our humanity, and impacts our world in positive, inclusive, and mindful ways. This year, that project theme will be “togetherness” and emphasize the process of healing and building a supportive, mindful, and connected community.

A broad outline of Learning Goals for the Wildflower Collaborative community are located in “The Classroom Experience” drop-down menu above. The information on these pages is an articulation of our proposed learning goals and act only as a guide to inform lesson design and ensure that each child receives developmentally appropriate support. They do not reflect additional topics of study, which are likely to be inspired by community interests and creativity or significant current events.

Family Responsibility

This is not a school. Families are responsible for compiling portfolios and reporting student progress to their respective home state.
